Who we are
VEGA runs the VEGA app and vega-iq.com: parcel delivery inside Iraq and abroad, and rides between cities. Contact: info@vega-iq.com · +964 774 791 8176
What we collect
- Your phone number, to sign you in with a one-time code.
- Your name and, if you add one, a profile photo.
- Addresses you save, and the map points you choose for them.
- Your orders: sender and receiver names and phone numbers, pickup and delivery addresses, parcel and ride details, prices and payment status.
- Messages you send to our support team.
- A notification token for your phone, so we can tell you about your orders.
We do not use advertising, we do not track you across other apps, and the app does not read your phone's location. Payments are made in cash; we do not collect card details.
Why we use it
To take and deliver your orders and rides, to send you the codes and updates about them, to answer you when you contact us, to keep VEGA safe from misuse, and to keep the records our accounts require.
Who we share it with
- The partner companies that carry your parcel or drive your ride get the names, phone numbers and addresses on that order.
- Our SMS and WhatsApp provider sends your sign-in codes and tracking messages.
- Our service providers host the app and its data (Supabase), send notifications (Google Firebase) and show maps (Google Maps).
We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your sign-in, name, phone number, photo, addresses, notifications and support messages straight away. Records of your past orders and payments are kept for 5 years for our accounts; after that the names, addresses and contact details on them are removed too. Security logs are kept to protect the service.
Your choices
You can see and edit your details in the app (Profile → Edit profile), and delete your account at any time (Profile → Edit profile → Delete account), or ask us at info@vega-iq.com. See Delete your account.
Security
Your data is stored on encrypted servers, and only the staff who need it can see it.
Children
VEGA is not meant for children under 13.

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above.
